The film “Building Peace” is about Greg Mortenson and the institute that he built in northern Pakistan and Afghanistan. This institute creates an opportunity for girls and boys to eliminate ignorance. I think that what he did is very important for these communities because he is helping them get educated but he is not changing their ways. What the film made me think is that we give for granted every opportunity and education that this country gives us. We don’t really know what is like to be always in war. He is changing the lives of a lot of people for the best. I think we can all change the life of someone; we just need the chance to do it.
I think that everyone can put a smile on someone's face. I agree on that we give things for granted that other people need, such as food. We have it easy, everything we need is within our reach. I think everyone should try to change a little bit for the best.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your post and comment in that everyone takes something for granted and it isnt till it is gone that people realize how fortunate they were. The kids in the video were thankful to even have dirt to learn on. This should open everyones eyes to take of what you got because you never when things can change.
